Today I want to tell about my day off. Yesterday was Monday but I did not go to school because there were things I had to do.
Then I went to Kernersville with my mother and younger brother to visit my aunt and her family. First, we went to their store but my aunt was not there, only two of my cousins, Juan and Ricky were there so we went to their house instead.
As soon as we arrived at their house, we were greeted by their loving puppy, Dunken. Dunken is a very playful pup, he even stole my little brothers first kiss. Hahaha
Then when I went inside I saw my cousin, Stephanie, downstairs working out. She was really at it! She was on a running machine thing. But I admire her because she is younger than I am and she takes her health seriously.
After about a few hours my mother said that it was time for us to leave. I didn't want to leave, so my mother said if I would rather stay over instead and I said yes.
My cousins and I were having fun and being crazy together over night so we slept late. Hahaha. Then it was about 5 in the morn when I heard my cousins alarm go off. It didn't startle my or anything but it did creep me out a bit because it was some weird country song. So I woke up my cousin and told her to turn it off. So she did and we went back to sleep.
Then it was 10 a.m. and I heard my aunt yell "Stephanie and Dalia!! Y'all have about ten minutes to get up and get ready because we are about to leave!" DAMN!! It's late I thought, but actually it wasn't.
So when we were all ready, we got in the car and we went to their store. We ate at the store and then back on the car to go to Lexington.
While in Lexington, we had to go somewhere first to settle some businesses(Which are not drug dealing or anything illegal, even though we're Mexican.). Then, we went to my uncle Guillermo's store. We all entered from the back door that only the employees use and as soon as we got in there were employees giving us a look that said "How the hell did you guys get through that door?" It was hilarious! So we all charged to the office to find my uncle in the middle of an important phone call. It was funny because when we my cousins and I entered we were all like "TIO GUILLE!!!" and all we got in return was a scowl and a hand gesture that said "Shut up!! I'm on the phone!!" But then he hung up and him and my aunt started talking about adult things that my cousins and I didn't really care for. So we were kind bored at first but all of a sudden my cousin, Ricky, came out of nowhere and made my aunt scratch his back. It was a very fun view to watch it happen.
After that, my cousins decided to go outside while we let the adults talk about their businesses and such. When were outside, we talked about many things, including inappropriate things(Which is probably what was expected because I was there).
Then after what felt like forever, my aunt and two uncles came out the office. We all got in the car and went to visit some lady that used to be my mothers clients. Her house was very interesting. Haha. Then when we left her house, we went to eat at a Chinese restaurant and we were later joined by another one of my cousins, Jay Ar. When we came out of the restaurant, we were FULL. Or at least I was. Then the time came for my aunt, her husband(my uncle), my cousins Ricky and Stephanie, and I to head back to Kernersville.
When we arrived at their store in Kernersville, we all got off again and my cousins and I immediately headed to the office for the computer. Then my aunt took my cousin Stephanie and I to Bible Study.
Bible Study was actually interesting but still very boring. However, I do not dare say it to my aunt of any adult unless I want to get struck in the head. Haha. But bible study actually ended early because the teacher said he had to go to a funeral.
But after bible study, we had to drive to women back to their home since they did not have a ride. Then we went back to the store and we were there until closing time. Then it was straight to the house again.
After about an hour, my parents and younger brother arrived to at my aunts house to pick me up. I didn't leave immediately since my parents had to get off and greet everyone. Then my aunt went into the kitchen and made some "atole" which was very yummy. Hehe.
So it was not until another 2 hours that I actually left. But during the 2 hours, my cousins and I were all crowding Ricky's window trying to get wi-fi and get on Facebook, Twitter, and such on our ipods and laptops.
Afterwards, I went home and I was SUPER tired. I had lots of fun and I can't wait to spend the night at my cousins' house again.
But I think next time I might go to the Santiago Mansion!!
Well, that was all I did on my day off. It wasn't much but I had lots of fun and I'm happy I had bonding time with my cousins.
(And where was Juan this whole time?? He was cruising around somewhere with the Cadillac.)
